Welcome to Chinese Graffiti- a place where cultural divides cease to exist. I wanted to create a space in the world where I could share my passion for China–a culture hidden beneath layers of propaganda and global stereotype.
The conversation between East and West is still in its infancy, so what better way than to use fashion as a platform to bridge that gap? It’s fun, it’s relatable, and of course rich with cultural philosophy.
Having the opportunity to combine my passion for both China and fashion is a dream come true. Both have influenced my life and probably yours in more ways than one.
History can be boring, and navigating a new culture can be confusing. I hope to utilize my experiences in both the language and culture, to share with you my passion for the topic.
By discussing Chinese fashion history, its evolution, and it’s current status, together we can come to appreciate a culture and people that are greatly misconceived. And, truth is, we will never make progress in creating a global community without mutual understanding.
